We are excited to launch the Chatfield Water Polo Club, a new opportunity for student-athletes to compete, grow, and represent our school and community in one of the fastest-growing sports in Colorado.
Our co-ed team competes in the Colorado High School Water Polo Association (CHSWPA), facing teams from across the state throughout the season which runs from late August through early November. Players do not have to attend Chatfield High School to play on the team.
As a club program, we are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where students of all experience levels can develop their skills, build lasting friendships, and become part of a strong team culture. Whether an athlete is new to the sport or has years of experience, our goal is to help every player reach their full potential in and out of the pool
No water polo experience required! Players should be comfortable swimming in deep water and able to tread water for at least 15 minutes. All water polo skills, positions, and game strategies will be taught during practices. New athletes are welcome and encouraged to join.
Each player with need a USA Water Polo Bronze Level Membership in order to practice and play games. Any player who is 18 or will turn 18 during the season will also need to complete the SafeSport training.
